Now, unpack everything, and let us begin.
- Place the sides of the table upside down on the floor. Slide the aprons into the sides first with the good side facing outward. Do not insert the screws at this time.
- Attach the middle shelf with screws and washers; do not make anything too tight at this point. Remember to keep the good side facing the floor.
- Next, assemble the bottom shelf.
- Now insert the balance nuts into the aprons and then thread the apron screws through them. The aprons should be sitting at right angles to the floor. They do twist if you are not careful, so handle them gingerly.
- Now partially tighten all screws and ensure that the shelves are sitting squarely. Then you can tighten all screws securely and verify that they line up with the edges on the side of the unit.
- Place the tabletop on the floor, face down, and sit the unit (with all screws tightened) on top of it. Screw the base to the top and insert the decorative plugs into the side holes.
- Turn your unit right side up and you are done.
