Create A Stunning Christmas Village Display!

There is probably nothing more stunning or alluring than a beautifully designed Christmas village display.  Whether you are decorating the local church, or a department store display, a bit of imagination and some suggestions from this post can help you make your Christmas Village Display the hit of the Christmas season.
You don't have to be elaborate.  We are not creating special effects for the next Star WarsTM movie.  Even if you are short on display space, such as in your home, you have can still decorate the small spaces here and there by spreading your village props throughout your home to create the desired Christmas theme.
A, Christmas Village Display is always a conversational focal point, and will make your home alive with Christmas cheer for the many visitors who will haunt your home during the season.  Both adults and children love to look upon these miniature towns and let their imaginations soar.
The list below is of numerous pieces that you may want to add to your next Christmas village display.  Even if you don’t find something for yourself, an idea for something similar might occur, or these suggestions might make great gift ideas for a friend or family member who loves to “dress up” for Christmas.
Ralphies House from “A Christmas Story” [http://amzn.to/1yu3qOw] is a beautiful addition to add to your Christmas village display.
It is hand crafted, hand painted, made of porcelain and has beautiful details like snow of the roof, wreaths on the windows and even a Christmas tree standing out front. This piece measures 8" x 6" x 6.5" and lights up so that there are lights in the window at night.
Customers who have purchased this house give it 4.8 stars out of five stars possible, with no complaints coming in at less than four stars.  If there are any negatives about the product, no customer thought to mention them.
Ralphie’s House is an excellent piece to set a Christmas village display around.  The link above prices the item at about $54.00 at amazon, which is the lowest price we were able to find among several stores.
The Department 56 Original Snow Village Christmas At Grandma's Lit House [http://amzn.to/1Bug5Cf] is another great piece for use in your Christmas village display.  You can use it to add another home to the neighborhood in your village or to affect a country setting.  It measures 6.2" x 8.5" x 7.2" and is made of ceramic.
This charming house offers excellent detail that is sure to get your village plenty of attention.  The windows are lit up to grab attention, and if you look through the front porch window, you will see an interior scene that includes a Christmas tree and fireplace, quite cozy.
Wreaths adorn the windows and doors, snow graces the roof, and charm infuses the entire structure.
As for the customers, they give Grandma’s house 4.8 stars out of five.  There is a single 2 star comment, but you’ll have to decide for yourself whether that is a complaint or not.  In the customers own words – here it is…
“Some of the red bows in the windows were broken when I got it.  It's pretty minor but, considering these village pieces aren't cheap I was a little disappointed.”
After shopping around, we found this piece at other stores for around $75.00 (never cheaper) so the link to amazon above is a great place to shop for this.
The Department 56 Christmas Lane Series Animated Snow Village, Santa's Wonderland House [http://amzn.to/160G8Ei] is your perfect town square centerpiece.  This is the operations center for the North Pole where Santa lives and where his workshop resides.  No Christmas village display can be complete without it.
Set this display on an slightly elevated platform, so that Santa's house sits on a hill to overlook your magical Christmas town.  This marvelous display piece is animated (gosh!) and lighted, and it has exquisite details in its artisanship.
This one piece is actually a small Christmas village within your Christmas village display.  Because it moves, it will attract admirers.  This means that nobody has to find your Christmas village display; it will find them!
This is a very busy display, featuring brick siding and a snow capped roof, a railroad track, and even a loaded sleigh!  Santa's Wonderland is made of hand painted ceramic.
This piece measures 8-1/2" x 11.5" x 14.  Customers give this one 4.0 stars out of five possible.  The complaints focus about the assembly process.  Some pieces of the display were broken, and other pieces would not fit properly within the display in other situations.  How much of this is due to shipping and handling, who can say.
Some complained that there was noise as the train rolled about the track.  Again, complaints are few – but one should bear in mind that this beautiful station would garner attention, whether the train is moving or not.
Some of the accessories sell separately, but the display comes with sisal trees, the reindeer and the train and track set.  Everyone will be delighted to see Santa's house light up and the train chugging around the track.
No village is complete without a train depot, and the Lemax 10in Porcelain Village Building Kensington House [http://amzn.to/160Gef8] is just the thing to fill the bill.  This station stands a full 10" in height, is constructed of porcelain, and supports lighted windows.
The lighting offers off a cozy glow that really sets the holiday mood.  It has nice details with snow on the roof and wreaths on the windows a stairwell to the second level and even a little bench outside where commuters can wait for the next train.  This home will be a great addition to your village collection.
This piece is not yet reviewed by customers, but it seems similar enough to the earlier mentioned pieces to include it.  It costs about $25.00 but may be hard to find.  Currently, there is one used item at amazon, so if you do see one – grab it!
If you are seeking to create a whole town with your Christmas village display, you will definitely need to include a schoolhouse.  This Department 56 Christmas Story Village Cleveland Elementary School [http://amzn.to/1udHShD] is the perfect piece for the occasion.  All we can say is – wow!
Constructed of porcelain, the detail is exquisite.  You are well advised to visit the link above to see this schoolhouse for yourself.
Current price at amazon is about $65.00 and we do not hold out much hope for finding it cheaper.  Our own efforts turned up similar prices (a few dollars more, actually) but all in the same $65.00 ballpark.
Building a Christmas village can take a lot of time and a bit of money, but once you are into it, you come ahead quickly.  You are not seeking to add a fire department and a football stadium.  This is only a game, after all.  Just add to your Christmas village display a bit every year until your little town has a little something for everybody – just as a real town does.  The point is to have fun.
Happy Christmas Season!
