This Ball Enamel Water Bath Canner kit is really designed for the beginner. It includes all the tools and equipment you need to can your very own fruits and vegetables. Ball has included a basic utensil set in this kit.
The chrome rack sits on the bottom of the canner and allows you to raise your jars up and down. Some customers reported that this rack rusts fairly quickly but it is inexpensive to buy a replacement. Just be sure to try to buy a stainless steel rack which will not rust.
The nice feature of this set is that the canner has a flat bottom and will work on ceramic stove tops. Keep this in mind as not all canners have a flat bottom and can cause issues.
