Without any doubt, one of the best features of the Black & Decker LM175 Electric powered lawn mower is the price.  Not only is the price as cheap as gas-powered mowers, even a little cheaper, you will no longer spend a fortune on gas and oil and mechanical repairs.

This Black & Decker is smaller than the Greenworks mower with only an 18-inch cut, but if you don't have a very big yard, you don't need a wide cutting path.  This mower attempts to be small and lightweight enough for just about anyone to use, especially older people who just do not have the strength and stamina to push a heavy mower around anymore.

As you can see, reel manual mowers are standard stuff.  People buy them for all sorts of reasons, but the main ones are no fumes, lightweight, easy to maintain and no noise to disturb the neighbors.

These mowers are great for people who live in duplex and don't have large areas to mow or for people who live in the suburbs with small to medium-sized yards.  It really depends on how long you want to push a mower, although these can be just as fast as a gas-powered push lawn mower in the hands of the experienced.

One thing you need to keep in mind about these manual push lawn mowers is they do not do well with sticks and twigs.  These will get stuck in the blades.  If you have many trees that drop debris, pinecones, spiky sweet gum balls, etc., then this probably is not the type of mower you want to use - unless you don’t object to pick up those things up before you mow.  They also do not do well in tall grass that has been neglected for too long.

Another thing to remember is to keep the blades sharp.  Just as with any mower, dull blades merely tear your grass up and do not actually cut it.  If you keep these blades, sharp and lubricated, and you should have no problems with performance.
