The yuppie in all of us likes to buy our coffee out from time to time – but the plain truth is that such coffee is expensive.  For the most part, the savings that one gets from preparing coffee at home saves just too much money to ignore.  Despite these savings, one still wants to treat their caprices to a rich, hot cup of authentic coffee – and the heck with savings if this is not possible.

Thanks to the The DeLonghi BAR32 Pump Espresso Machine, this is very possible.  While no coffee maker can read your mind, this espresso machine provides all the tools you need to make the perfect cup of espresso – assuming that you understand how to make the perfect cup of espresso.

The De'Longhi BAR32 comes with a steam wand and a built-in tamper so that everything you need to make the perfect cup of coffee is in one place.  The separate temperature regulators really do contribute to making the perfect brew so kudos to DeLonghi for tossing this in.  The Espresso Machine features a large reservoir so that you can make up to eight espressos with one fill – should circumstances demand it.

The frothing wand deserves particular mention.  Frothing your latte is the hardest skill to master for most people.  It takes time to get it right – and even then, there are no guarantees – except apparently – with this wand.  Customers remark how easy it is to froth milk with this wand, when the frothing wand on most machines is likely the principle target of criticism.

Lastly, let us just mention the amazon price of around $85 bucks – a VERY fair price for a good coffee maker – and an unbelievable bargain for a flexible espresso machine that can make cappuccino and lattes equally fast and efficiently.

The DeLonghi BAR32 Pump Espresso Machine receives 3.8 stars from earlier customers – but this is not really too surprising.  In fact, this is probably a nice score for a coffee pot.

You see, coffee makers have a hard existence.  Nobody trusts them.  A person can be using the best coffee machine in the world – and still complain that the coffee sucks.  It is sort of like wine tasting.  Experts will agree across the board that a wine – vintaged (maybe)1937 – is all the rage – when most of us just taste a bottle full of vinegar.

So, it is with coffee.  Before we will get a great cup of coffee – we need to know how to make a great cup of coffee – and we need to understand how to do it using the machine on the counter.  Your old machine is dead.  Bury it honorably and move on.  As regards the coffee machine, all we can do is to consult expert “wine tasters” and if they agree that the pot produces great coffee, then it would seem that we have our answer.

Because of this, the reviews at amazon are likely more skewed toward the negative than with most other products.  Nevertheless, if one reads them through with care, something interesting emerges.  It quickly becomes obvious that the complaints are more a matter of taste than a complaint about the quality of the machine.

In fact, many of these customer complaints take time to compliment the machine quality, and even the taste of the coffee it brews - while their specific complaint focuses on a failed part, a broken product (possibly occurring in transit), customer service etc.

• **”This machine is an entry-level Espresso Machine, lots of plastic parts, sadly there is no cup warmer on the top of the machine like in higher priced models but the espresso and cappuccino it produces is sufficient.”

Some customers complain that the coffee is weak, but that is a matter of taste, with which the overwhelming numbers of customers do not agree.  There are some hit and miss leaks (steam leaks from the frothing wand, for example), but these complaints are few and varied with no sense of consistency.  If we could say to you that there are forty complaints focusing on leaks between the handle and the pot then this would be a problem but this is not so.

Most customers are very pleased with this machine.  Their comments show excitement – and that is a good thing.  Other customers say…

The Kuchenprofi funnel continues a great tradition. There are funnels, anywhere and everywhere, but we really wanted to do a review on this particular funnel, because it is just that good.  We think so – but more importantly, the customers think so.

German-made kitchen products have always had a great reputation in the United States and - of course - are known to chefs world-wide.  Unlike Japanese products, German products have become known for their quality.  If you remember the German Blapunkt electronics such as stereos and the like, you know what I mean.  These were profoundly popular when I was a boy over a hundred years ago – and they are with us still.

Founded in Solingen Germany by Artur Schmitz in 1923, the Kuchenprofi brand has always been a tribute to Germany’s leadership to produce affordable kitchen tools to ease the lives of home-makers everywhere.

The name Kuchenprofi reflects a level of strength, quality and functionality that knowledgeable chefs demand worldwide.  Even though Kuchenprofi kitchen tools are designed with the professional chef in mind these have always been kept affordable so that anyone who loves to putter about the kitchen has access to quality tools.

The Kuchenprofi Funnel measures 5.5 x 4 x 5.2 inches and weighs about one pound.  The widest part of the funnel measures 5 inches in diameter.  This wide mouth makes it super easy to strain stocks and sauces and many customers use it to strain the oil from their deep-frying units.

Customer feedback on this funnel is surprising, mostly because, we are talking about a funnel – but customers still took time to get excited about it.

We have already mentioned that the Kuchenprofi Funnel is a huge hit with the customers.  Our first surprise is how popular this funnel seemed to be among those people who care about such things.  For us, Kuchenprofi was a name we had hardly come across before.

The second surprise was the consistency of the customer reports.  “We love it” about sums it up nicely.  We have 95 customer reviews, and only two of these fall below two stars and six of these fall below three stars.  For 95 reviews, that is a 4.6% rating among the earlier customers.

This result is nearly universal from whatever direction you consider it.  Have a look at this customer’s impressions…

The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender is of a stylish design that looks great on your kitchen counter.  It offers easy touch buttons, so you won’t need to have thumbs of steel to get the buttons to depress any more.

This blender really is a great idea, although the overwhelming majority of customers pan this product mercilessly.  Quality seems to be the big issue.  It does what it promises, which is practically make your smoothie for you – and shut down when finished, but the longevity of the product has not pleased those customers who took time to submit their review of the product.

The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender uses a patented process called “Wave Action”, supposed to pull the materials down into the blades for more uniform blending action.  Customers seem to love the results.  Of course, it will also chop food and blend salsa – so this blender seems to be capable of just about any task you can toss its way.

The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender also offers a patented “no-mess” spout that directs your smoothie into your glass, instead of all over the counter top.  The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender provides a one push button solution to making your morning smoothie.  Just toss in the ingredients, push a button, and your smoothie will be waiting for you when your morning shower is finished.  The Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender is programmed to do all of the grunt work.

What Customers Say

For 287 total reviews (that is many reviews) the product scored only 2.5 out of 5 stars.  One Hundred and Forty Two single star reviews out of 287 total reviews???  That is just about as unheard of as bad ratings go – but as we said – there is a fix.

While we cannot recommend the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender, we do feel that 
we can heartily recommend the Hamilton Beach 56206 Smoothie Smart Blender.  This product only has 44 reviews, but when only five of these reviews fall below three stars, we know we are onto something.

The model 56206 is also a one touch, smart smoothie maker with pretty much the same specifications as the standard model.  We do not know just what Hamilton Beach did – but it sure made a big hit with the customers!

We do not doubt that some of the negative reviews on the standard model of the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender were the result of abuse, but we should expect our blender makers to anticipate such things and to build equipment with safeguards to avoid them.  The 52206 model of this smart blender seems to have gotten that precisely right.

Therefore, if you are looking for a great blender, with great reviews, which (probably) will not let you down, give some thought to the Hamilton Beach 56206 Smoothie Smart Blender and make your smoothies with the touch of a single button.
