One look at this product and one you will immediately notice how much this toy resembles an real resort.  One expects the resort entertainment director to run descend the stairs at any moment, encouraging smiles from the resort staff.

All of the usual activities are available too.  There is plenty of clear cool water for the guests to swim in.  There is an active geyser to generate excitement among the guests.  There is a water slide for fun, and there is a pine tree for guests to shade themselves.  Heck, Step 2 has included just about everything that one likes to do when the enjoying sun.

The Step 2 Tropical Island Resort encourages children to play together, and the fun never ends, really, because should they ever grow bored with the current activities, you can always buy add-ons anywhere that the resort itself is available.

There are no serious complaints about this toy.  There is certainly the toy that arrived with missing parts, the defective item that a customer had to return, and other such mishaps as are bound to happen in the course of doing business, but nothing that relates to the quality of the toy.

The Step 2 Tropical Island Resort only gets 3.9 stars out of five, but this is of no concern here.  There is only a universe of 48 total reviews (see the customer review mapping above) and even a single complaint is a significant chunk of such a small sample as we have here.

One thing to note is that the slide may not always stay in place when in use, but that is hardly catastrophic, and is easily correctable.  In addition, the screw labels that come with the play set are a somewhat hard to read, so you might experience a bit of confusion when setting up the play set.  Most customers experience no problem though – and they say that the Step 2 Tropical Island Resort is very easy to put together.

Who says that a baby rattle cannot be cute and cuddly?  Sophie the Giraffe certainly proves those people wrong.  Her warm demeanor and soft eyes will win the heart of any baby.  Sophie is made of natural rubber and uses food paints for baby’s safety.  Sophie is free from Phthalates and BPA’s.  She is great for teething as the soft rubber encourages baby to chew, and the built in squeaker occupies baby, just as your CD collection occupies you.

Yes, it would seem that the makers of the Sophie the Giraffe baby rattle though of everything, and then they went and put their foot in their mouth, or rather, they made it possible to put Sophie’s foot in your child’s mouth.  For this reason, a lovable toy that normally would have been 100% safe for baby to enjoy has become a serious choking hazard.

It would appear from the customer reviews, that Sophie the Giraffe has a flaw.  Every giraffe has long legs, but Sophie’s legs tend to be stuck in baby’s throat and there have been some very frightening stories related by previous users of this product that lead to the conclusion that these tykes were in serious danger.

One incident of this type probably means a careless parent, but we read at amazon, review after review that recounts a terrifying choking scene.  I haven’t seen this kind of horror since the last Jason flick – and what makes this even scarier, is that babies are involved.

The Coleman Instant 8 person tent is a stylish, rugged tent that seems to have everything going for it as the six person instant tent.  It is designed to be dry and well ventilated, with a strong frame able to stand up to the heavy winds.  How well it does this – is a matter for the earlier users of the tent to decide.  Let us see what they are saying…

Customers rate this tent 4.3 star out of five.  They love the fast setup – though take down did present something of a problem.  They loved the ventilation and the customizable windows.  They liked the looks, the high ceiling, and the fact that the tent stayed dry even in the wettest of weather.

There are not many complaints, but those registered are rather consistent.  The problem is that we cannot reconcile these complaints with the many positive reports for this product.  Here are some thoughts that occurred to us.

Some customers who stayed dry during heavy rain mentioned that they used a rain fly for extra protection.  One reviewer survived an entire week of rain in his tent, so it is hard to say that there is a design flaw in the tent itself.  One customer recommended the use of a ground tarp or cloth under the tent to keep the floor dry.

Our feeling is that, between a rain fly and a ground tarp, this probably will fix most moisture issues.  If you cannot find a suitable fly, you probably should not buy this tent, as you might end up in puddles of water.

4.
