These paint-by-numbers kits come complete with paint supplies, a ready2paint canvas, and a single round brush. Your first buy as a new artist then, might be to purchase a great selection of artists brushes. These are not expensive, and you will need a bit finer control when it comes to getting into the tight areas and correcting mistakes.
For this product, the finished painting is measures about 20x14 inches, a decent sized painting. It is quite large to plug an empty spot on your wall and it is a great conversation starter too.

As for customers, they seem really to enjoy producing these works of art. Of the few complaints, most all are superficial: shipping issues, damaged shipments, but even these customers comment on the quality of the kit, and on the beautiful, bright quality of the acrylic paints that accompany it. Some customers wanted more brushes (naturally) but they did not seem to be disturbed at the prospect of spending a few dollars more to obtain them.
None of these budding paint-by-numbers artists fancies themselves the next Picasso, but they do find immense satisfaction in displaying works of art from their own paintbrush proudly in their homes.

Of course, if you like the needlecraft kit style, after you visit the amazon site, you will learn that there are many alternatives scenes to choose from, but then, why limit yourself to one painting, when most rooms have four walls.
Like most paint-by-numbers kits, this one comes with just one brush, if you plan to become a paint-by-numbers artist hobbyist; you need to invest in a decent set of artists tools. Using these, you can execute fine detail and correct mistakes, just as any real artist does.

This painting renders a lovely scene that you can sink into and imagine yourself ambling down the cobblestone path, enjoying the quaint beauty of the garden and a light breeze kissing your cheeks. This piece exudes charm, if you love that kind of charming artwork and it gives rise to sensations in the mind that evokes warm emotion.

This one is involved; no doubt about that, but some help is given. For example, we noticed that you would not need to “blend” colors to achieve the desired effects. This paint-by-numbers kit comes replete with many of shades for use on the canvas. That is a large concession, since other kits that we examined do require some blending to get to certain hues and colors. If you are less advanced, and not quite up to mixing paints yet – but still want great results – you might give this one some serious thought.
The consumer review mapping is solid, but any painting this intricate is bound to encounter those who had not anticipated quite the task that confronted them. Be forewarned then, that this P-B-N kit is not a toy. It is a serious task for serious artists, who are willing to put work in, to get quality out.

Most every complaint had to do with the difficulty level, minus a complaint here and there about the numbers being a bit hard to see. The mapping says that there is little cause for concern though, just so long as you keep the difficulty level in mind. This one is not for the faint hearted.
The painting is extremely detailed, so it will take twice as long (most probably three times) to complete this painting as with most anything else you have done. This kit is detailed and intricate, with tiny spaces and crevices everywhere, and it is strictly reserved for the more advanced P-B-N artists, or those who seek to advance their skills. Nobody else need apply.
