The Pentax Optio WG1 Sportsman's Camera is a Sportsman's dream, designed into a waterproof, dust proof, and crush-proof body.  The Pentax Optio WG1 Sportsman's Camera is waterproof to a depth of 33 feet, and so is the perfect partner for anyone who might suddenly need to catch that breath-taking shot that you cannot afford to miss.

The Pentax Optio WG1 Sportsman's Camera is shatterproof impact only to about five feet, so you aren’t going to toss it to your buddy at the foot of the mountain you are climbing, but still – should it take a scary fall, it is certainly more likely to survive than most any other camera.

As you can see from the review mapping, the Pentax Optio WG1 Sportsman's Camera is essentially a four star device, but don’t let that throw you.  Four stars is a fine rating, but it does hint at some issues, so let us take a moment to deal with them.

At the top of the list, is the battery life – or perhaps more specifically – the lack thereof.  Of the five reviews here, only one is lower than four stars, but this is not the only review that points to poor battery life.  That, no doubt, is cost this product a star for most of these reviews.

Another complaint is the lack of an eye level viewfinder, but despite these gripes, even these customers “highly recommend” this camera, so if it impresses you, just remember to buy an extra battery.
